Our first day tour of 2011 began at Mill's Restaurant in Torrance, CA.  Approximately 60 people showed up for Breakfast before driving "down the street" to the Toyota Facility.  Most buildings are part of Los Angeles Toyota Car Support Industry.  However, a portion of one building was allocated for a Toyota Auto Museum.  The museum contains historical Toyota vehicles that have been collected over the years but until now had no proper location for display.

The next stop after a drive north to Los Angeles Airport (LAX) was the Flight Path Museum.  This building was opened sometime in 2004.  LAX did not have a depository for displaying the history of LAX and this museum is a result of expansion for such a facility.  The museum is operated by the LAX Airport Association which comprises several airports: LAX, Burbank, Ontario and Palmdale airports.  Many displays are located in the building exhibiting the various airlines that have operated over many years. The building is located to the south side of the LAX runways and during our tour many airliners could be seen taking off closely.

The Introduction/Meeting Room a docent provided a short talk about the Flight Path Museum.  A video was also presented to provide much more history.
During our visit a demonstration was presented about the skills of a bomb sniffing dog with a demonstration how he would locate and previously hidden sample of black gun powder.
